The banner image main size needs to be 1440 x 240 px
Actually it could be 1920 x 240 px but personally I prefer to let WordPress stretch the small one a bit to fit.
Once uploaded WordPress will make 4 sizes:
1920 x 240 (WordPress would just stretch the original to fill)
1440 x 240 (the original)
1280 x 240
640 x 200
